Maths Angel vs Tassomai

Tassomai runs a daily multiple-choice quiz across several subjects, so it only sees which option your child picked. Maths Angel reads your child’s written working, names the exact mistake, and teaches the skill behind it.

The key difference

Maths Angel

AI maths tutor

Maths Angel is a maths tutor for Years 6–11, and it works from the method, not a ticked box. Your child types or photographs the question with their working. ChatCat reads that working line by line, names the exact mistake, and teaches the method properly.

ChatCat has seen the steps, so it can tell a careless slip from a real misunderstanding. If the root sits further back, Maths Angel’s 500+ tracked skills show the weakest one, and a 3–4 minute animated lesson rebuilds it. Practice checks the repair holds, and your child’s skills profile logs what is mastered.

Tassomai

daily quiz

Built for a daily quiz habit: a short set of multiple-choice questions across maths and other subjects, mapped to UK exam boards. When your child gets one wrong, the question comes back later. They can tap Mai, the built-in AI tutor, to hear why that option was wrong. But every question is multiple choice, so there is nowhere to write out a method and Tassomai never sees what your child wrote.

When Maths Angel suits your child better

Tassomai is strong at keeping recall sharp, and Mai will talk your child through a question. But Mai is reasoning about the options on screen. Maths Angel reads what your child wrote on the page, which is where the method actually broke.
